Low Halogen Content, High Chemical Purity
Product Description
Neolube No. 100 is a high-performance pipe thread sealant designed for locking and sealing metal pipes and fittings. This creamy paste provides lubricity for assembly, immediate low-pressure sealing, and cures to a solid for securing threaded connections. Neolube No. 100 withstands continuous temperatures up to 300°F (149°C) and does not contain Teflon.
Note: Not recommended for use on plastics prone to stress cracking or in pure oxygen or chlorine systems. Consult the Safety Data Sheet for safe handling.

- Instrumentation
- Hydraulics
- Pumps and Valves
- Fuel Oil Piping
- Water/Coolant Systems
- Compressors
- Condensers
- Gas Lines
- Electrical Conduit
- Low-Pressure Steam Lines
- Rad-Waste Systems

Directions for Application
- Ensure fittings are clean; use toluene, acetone, isopropyl alcohol, or MEK, and allow to dry.
- Apply a 360° bead to the male threads, leaving the first thread free. Fill voids thoroughly.
- Assemble and tighten fittings per manufacturer recommendations.
- Fittings will seal instantly to moderate pressures; allow 24 hours for maximum sealing.
- No heat or activators needed for stainless steel or inactive surfaces. Cure time may vary with temperature.
Typical Performance of Cured Material
- Service Life:
- 40-year service life at ambient temperatures up to 122°F (50°C)
- 10-year service life for temperatures up to 200°F (94°C)
- 1-year service life for temperatures up to 250°F (131°C)
- Temperature Stability: Suitable for low-pressure steam up to 300°F (149°C); not recommended for reactor containment areas.
- Solvent Resistance: Effective with air, water, gas, hydrocarbons, boric acid, alcohols, organic acids, mild mineral acids, and certain aqueous solutions.
Suitable Piping Materials
Recommended for iron, magnesium, bronze, nickel, zinc, aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, Monel, anodized surfaces, titanium, and more. Copper may oxidize at high temperatures.
Typical Properties of Cured Material
- Time to Full Strength: 24 hours at 72°F (25°C)
- Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: 0.10 K-1
- Coefficient of Thermal Conductivity: 0.10 W/(m*K)
- Specific Heat: 0.30 kJ/(kg*K)
Disassembly
Fittings assembled with Neolube No. 100 can be disassembled with hand tools. For large fittings, apply localized heat (250°C) and disassemble while hot. Cured product can be removed with a combination of solvent soaking and mechanical abrasion.
Material Compatibility
Compatible with metals, glass, ceramics, and certain thermoset plastics. It may soften thermoplastics and varnish finishes.
Storage Conditions
Store in original container in a cool, dry location between 46°F and 70°F (8°C to 21°C). Shelf life is 24 months.
